It took 60 firefighters about 2 1/2 hours to put out a fast-moving brush fire in Florida Canyon on Wednesday, the second such fire there in nine days.
The two-alarm fire occurred in the canyon between Zoo Place and Morley Field Drive, directly across the street from where a three-alarm fire occurred more than a week ago, San Diego Fire Department Capt. Richard McDowell said.
The fire charred about 15 acres about a mile north of the Navy hospital.
