An Aug. 17 state police search that turned up a loaded handgun in the sports car of Charles Barkley of the Philadelphia 76ers was illegal, a judge ruled.
The ruling in Mays Landing, N.J., bars prosecutors from using the gun as evidence and may force the dismissal of a weapons possession charge against the NBA All-Star.
