Mission Viejo Takes Over Top Ranking in Prep Poll

Mission Viejo High School unseated Fountain Valley as the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. poll after a 24-3 victory over the Barons last week.
Fountain Valley fell to fourth after two weeks as the county’s top-ranked team. Mission Viejo was ranked third.
Santa Ana fell from second to fifth after a 17-10 loss to 10th-ranked Mater Dei last week.
In the featured game of the week, second-ranked Servite plays host to Crespi at 7:30 Saturday night in Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.
The game features running backs Russell White of Crespi and Derek Brown of Servite.
