Congress OKs Women’s Vietnam War Memorial

WASHINGTON — The Senate, on a voice vote Wednesday night, approved a bill authorizing a monument to American women who served in the Vietnam War.
The bill, approved earlier by the House, does not specify the site of the memorial to the 10,000 American women who served in the nation’s longest war, other than to say it must be placed somewhere in the Washington metropolitan area.
