Local News in Brief : San Juan Capistrano : 4,000 Customers Lose Electricity in 2 Outages

Up to 4,000 customers lost electrical power Sunday for unknown reasons in two separate outages, a utility spokeswoman said. Power was restored within 3 hours in each instance.
The first power loss occurred at 10:27 a.m. and ended at 1:09 p.m., said a spokeswoman for San Diego Gas & Electric. The second occurred at 1:45 p.m. and lasted until 2:28 p.m., she said. The causes under investigation.
Two traffic signals stopped working during the outages, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
