Antelope Valley 34, Saugus 20--Tommie Smith rushed for a game-high 160 yards and 3 touchdowns in 20 carries to lead Antelope Valley at College of the Canyons.

Saugus quarterback Jason Sachs completed 12 of 24 for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sachs also ran for a 10-yard touchdown with 3 minutes left for the game’s final score. Wide receiver Angel Martinez caught touchdown passes of 59 and 5 yards for Saugus (1-7-1, 1-3) before injuring his shoulder in the second quarter.

Antelope Valley (7-2, 3-1) led, 14-13, at halftime, but scored 3 times in the third quarter, including a pair of 8-yard touchdown runs by Smith, to open up a 21-point lead. Smith started the scoring with a 76-yard run in the first quarter.
