Van Nuys 29, Birmingham 6--Victor Flowers rushed for a game-high 124 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Wolves at home.

After the Wolves recorded a first-quarter safety, Flowers added a 7-yard touchdown run to give Van Nuys a 9-0 halftime lead. Flowers scored on a 22-yard run early in the third quarter to clinch the victory for Van Nuys (3-5, 2-4).

Van Nuys quarterback Keith Quigley completed 6 of 15 for 128 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown pass to Melvin Batrez. Quarterback Danny Larson of Birmingham (2-6, 2-4) completed 18 of 34 for 178 yards.
