Local News in Brief : Small Early Morning Quake Hits Westside

A small earthquake jolted the Westside early Monday, but there were no reports of damage or injuries, officials said.
The quake, which had a magnitude of 2.6, occurred at 5:27 a.m., said Robert Finn, a spokesman for the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Its epicenter was 1 mile southwest of Santa Monica, Finn said.
