To all the Bob Oateses of this world who are ready to relegate Gaston Green to the hot-stove league waiver wire, it might be wise to turn the calendar back to 1972, when a certain Ram rookie running back labored in greater obscurity than Green is now, before turning in some stellar years for the local eleven.
A clue to his identity? Gaston Green is wearing his old number (30) and his initials are L.M. (Lawrence McCutcheon).
