Twentieth Century Fox Film’s first-quarter profit rose to $70.2 million from $3.99 million a year earlier, including a gain of $82 million on the recent sale of the firm’s interest in Fox Plaza, an office building in Century City. Excluding the Fox Plaza sale, the company said, operating profit rose more than 50% to $31 million. Revenue rose 5% to $222 million over a year ago.
