AIA Loses to Memphis State by 10

Zack Jones had 29 points and Forrest Mckenzie added 28, but San Diego-based Athletes in Action lost Monday to host Memphis State, 97-87. Mckenzie also had 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Eddie Smith had 11 rebounds for Athletes in Action, which was outscored, 13-4, in the final 4 minutes.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Shannon Anderson scored 18 points as Point Loma Nazarene College defeated visiting Whitman College in a nonconference game, 78-66. Shawndel Reddic and Camille Armijo scored 16 points apiece, and Ann Duffy added 14 for Point Loma Nazarene (2-0). Armijo made 3 of 7 3-pointers. Whitman is 1-2.
