Mater Dei Plays Loyola in Quarterfinal Friday

Mater Dei High School will meet the nation’s top-ranked team, Loyola, at 7:30 Friday at Western High in the Southern Section Division I quarterfinals, the school announced Monday.
The teams had planned to play Saturday night, but Loyola insisted on playing the game Friday night. Loyola is ranked No. 1 in the nation by USA Today.
In Division III play, Santa Ana will play host to Paramount at 7:30 Friday at Tustin.
