Local : Students End Sit-In at Consulate

More than two dozen students ended a three-day sit-in at the South African Consulate in Beverly Hills this morning, claiming they had raised public consciousness about apartheid and had learned a valuable lesson about politics and human relations. The students left the consulate building to join other demonstrators for a Martin Luther King Jr. Day march that was to end back at the consulate.
