Eddie Williams Sent to White Sox in Swap

CHICAGO — The Chicago White Sox acquired third baseman Eddie Williams from the Cleveland Indians for right-handed pitchers Joel Davis and Ed Wojna, General Manager Larry Himes announced today.
Williams, 24, batted .301 with 12 home runs and 58 runs-batted-in last season in 101 games at Colorado Springs.
Davis, 24, was 0-1 with the White Sox but spent most of the season at Vancouver where he was 7-1 with a 3.75 earned run average. Wojna, 28, was 10-6 at Vancouver with a 3.27 ERA.
