Two men found shot to death in a Van Nuys apartment have been identified as roommates who may have been killed in a drug dispute, Los Angeles police said Monday.
Police identified the bodies found Friday afternoon in the 7400 block of Hazeltine Avenue as those of Gregory Moreno, 38, and Freddie Lopez Serenana, 47. Police said they were alerted to the killings by an anonymous telephone call.
Detective Mel Arnold said there were no suspects in the double homicide. He said investigators believe the slayings were related to a narcotics transaction, but would not elaborate.
Moreno had been unemployed in recent weeks while Serenana was working as a carpenter, Arnold said.
