Local News in Brief : Suspect in Robbery, Slaying Arrested

A man wanted in the robbery and shooting death of an employee of a Diamond Bar check-cashing company was arrested Tuesday after holding up a Costa Mesa restaurant, authorities said.
The suspect, David A. Brooks, 40, was being held without bail in Orange County Jail on suspicion of murder, Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Cox said.
Brooks is suspected of killing Belinda Breck, 31, of Diamond Bar and stealing up to $15,000 in a Dec. 15 robbery of Sun Seri’s Check Cashing Co., Cox said.
