In her first speaking role, Marlee Matlin plays the hearing-impaired daughter of Lee Remick in “Bridge to Silence,” a new CBS movie airing Sunday at 9 p.m.
After Peggy Lawrence (Matlin) is injured in an auto accident that claims the life of her husband, she becomes involved in a tug-of-war with Marge (Remick) over the guardianship of Peggy’s young daughter.
Michael O’Keefe portrays a longtime friend who persuades Peggy that her return to the Theatre of the Deaf would be beneficial as therapy.
