USC freshman sprinter Quincy Watts won the 200 meters in 20.82 seconds on the first day of competition in the USC Twilight track and field meet at Cromwell Field.
Other Trojan winnners included Greg Harper, 52 feet 5 1/4 inches in the triple jump; Travis Hannah, 47.36 seconds in the 400 meters; Ray Griffin, 4:07.43 in the mile, and Todd Lehman, 16-0 in the pole vault.
In women’s competition, USC winners included Leslie Maxie, 24.13 in the 200, and Claudia Paris, 166-3 in the discus. Gea Johnson of the Nike Coast Track Club led the heptathlon after the first day with 3,374 points.
The meet will conclude today, starting at 10 a.m.
