Hilburn’s referring to rap as music is completely out of line, and an affront to every musician and lover of real music. It seems that he is unaware of the definition of the word.
Rap is an acceptable communication form in the right context, and a usable and humorous gimmick in commercial promotion. But music it is not. What instrument did Hilburn study?
