IN BRIEF : Bruckner, Bowman Lead in Dunlop

TOKYO — Americans Greg Bruckner and Steve Bowman each shot a 4-under-par 68 and shared a one-stroke first round lead today in the $455,000 Dunlop Open tournament.
The 29-year-old Bruckner, from Manhattan Beach, Calif., had an eagle, three birdies and a bogey on the 7,052-yard, par-72 Ibaraki Golf Club’s west course. Bruckner was last year’s Singapore Open champion.
Bowman, from Tyler, Tex., carded six birdies and two bogeys.
