David M. Lewis has joined Newport Corp. as vice president of operations. His responsibilities include direction of the company’s procurement and manufacturing operation. Nita Millstein has been named vice president of human resources for the company. She had been director of human resources since July, 1988. The company, which is in Fountain Valley, manufactures equipment for laser-related systems and research.
