NEW YORK — Panamanian military strongman Manuel A. Noriega said in an interview with a New York radio station that the United States is making him a world hero.
Noriega told the nationally syndicated “Undercurrents” program of station WBAI on Thursday:
“My name has brought 3,000 men with war tanks . . . . They are making Manuel Noriega a world hero, a world hero. To the extent they attack Manuel Noriega, they make Manuel Noriega greater.”
