Former electrician Stephen A. McCoy was executed in Huntsville, Tex., for killing and raping a stranded motorist as part of a blood pact with two companions. McCoy, 41, was put to death by lethal injection for the 1981 slaying of Cynthia Johnson, 18, of Houston. He made no last statement but coughed heavily five times and groaned as the lethal drugs took effect.
