8 County Players Named to All-Star Baseball Team

Eight high school seniors from Orange County are among the 18 selected to represent Southern California in the state’s North/South high school all-star baseball series this weekend at Clovis High School in Fresno.
The county players are pitchers Pete Janicki and Matt Luke and shortstop Phil Nevin of El Dorado, pitcher Robert Milo and outfielder Chris Sheff of Laguna Hills, catcher Rob Ickes of Mater Dei, infielder Ryan Klesko of Westminster and pitcher Greg Hansell of Kennedy.
The South will play the North in a three-game series beginning Friday.
