The five-judge Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court heard arguments from both sides on whether the America’s Cup should be forfeited by the San Diego Yacht Club to New Zealand’s Mercury Bay Boating Club because San Diego used a catamaran in last September’s lopsided defense. A ruling is expected within 60 days.
