Musburger Misses Point When Reporting Story

Has Brent Musburger been completely absorbed into his own little sports world?
In his halftime report during Game 3 of the NBA finals, Musburger talks about a “big breaking story in sports.” A 19-year-old woman is dead. Henry Hearns, brother of boxer Thomas Hearns, is facing arraignment on murder charges, and about all Musburger can say is “ . . . and, of course, the big question now is, ‘What is the impact on tomorrow night’s fight?’ ”
What about the dead woman, her friends and family? What about a young man facing murder charges?
There really are more important things in life than sports.
