Scheetz Promoted to Baseball Coach at Valencia High

Mike Scheetz, junior varsity baseball coach at Valencia High School, has been elevated to varsity coach. He replaces Kevin McConnell, who resigned to accept an assistant coaching job at Cerritos College.
Scheetz, 32, graduated from Valencia in 1973 and played at Cal State Fullerton. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants and joined Valencia’s football coaching staff in 1981.
Scheetz has been the school’s junior varsity football coach for eight years and junior varsity baseball coach for three years. He teaches mathematics at Valencia.
