Ford Unit to Expand: Ford Motor Co.’s First Nationwide unit plans several acquisitions in the near future, particularly in California, its top market, Kenneth Whipple, president of Ford Financial Services, said. Ford Financial Services, which also includes Ford Motor Credit Co. and United States Leasing International, will expand in consumer areas such as credit cards and home mortgages, he said.
