Fullerton Pitcher Mark Beck Signs With the Braves
- Share via
Cal State Fullerton pitcher Mark Beck said Friday he has decided to skip his senior year and had signed with the Atlanta Braves.
Beck, a right-hander, has an injured pitching shoulder that forced him to miss his entire junior year and will keep him from throwing until Sept. 1. He’ll report to the Braves’ Instructional League team in West Palm Beach, Fla., in September and expects to go to spring training before being assigned to a minor league team.
Beck was drafted in the 16th round by the Braves.
