Annoconnor took the lead in the third turn to win the $150,000 added Budweiser Breeders Cup at River Downs in Cincinnati as jockey Corey Black won his second $150,000 stakes in two days.
Annoconnor, a 5-year-old mare from California, held off a late charge by Lotus Spring for her 11th victory and fifth in 10 starts on the turf.
Annoconnor paid $3.20, $3.20 and $2.60. Lotus Spring returned $15.40 and $7.80. Here’s Your Silver, ridden by Mike McDowell, paid $3.80.
