President Nixon’s analysis was nothing less than far reaching, deeply insightful, and was presented with analytical and dispassionate clarity.
It was one of the best commentaries since the tragedy of Tian An Men Square.
Yet how strangely tragic it is that the man with such obvious abilities allowed personal, ethical weakness to remove him from contributing more significantly to the world’s unfolding events.
But in the past 17 years, has anything been learned? How many more brilliant thinkers will fall prey to similar ethical lapses, and rob us of their invaluable insights?
Isn’t it time for all of our leading politicians to enter and remain in public life self-propelled and self-governing in their quest to truly be as they wish to be perceived?
