Thomas Lee Adds Title of Newhall Chairman

Newhall Land & Farming Co. has named Chief Executive Thomas L. Lee, 47, to the additional post of chairman.
The position had been vacant since the retirement of James F. Dickason in August 1987.
Gary M. Cusumano, 45, formerly executive vice president, was appointed president, succeeding Lee. Cusumano continues as chief operating officer.
Robert D. Wilke, 58, who remains chief financial officer, was named to the newly created position of vice chairman. He previously was executive vice president.
Stephen C. Schmidt, 40, was promoted from vice president to senior vice president.
Newhall owns and is developing Valencia, a master-planned community that is twice the size of Manhattan and 31 miles from Los Angeles.
