The Eastern Kentucky women’s basketball program has been put on a year’s probation by the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. for recruiting violations that included cash payments to players.

The probation will limit the women’s program to 15 expense-paid visits during the next academic year and no more than 10 scholarships during the 1990-91 academic year.
