Police appealed Friday for public assistance in solving the death of a newborn girl whose body was found July 3 in a dumpster in South Los Angeles.
The body of the infant was discovered about 11:30 a.m. by someone rummaging through trash behind the Broadway Federal Savings and Loan at 4501 S. Broadway.
Officers interviewed neighbors and checked local hospitals but were unable to turn up any leads. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Police Department’s Abused Child Unit at (213) 485-4220 or (213) 485-3261.
