Bond was set at $1 million each for three of four defendants charged with attempted first-degree murder in a fire fight with law officers in Holdrege, Neb., after an escape by helicopter from Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility near Ordway, Colo., Friday. Freddie Gonzales, 21, his wife, Patricia, 41, and Rebecca Brown, 26, appeared before Phelps County Clerk-Magistrate Marvin D. Watson, while the appearance of Brown’s husband, Ralph, 30, who was being treated for a gunshot wound to a finger, was delayed until at least today.
