Carlos Fuentes, the Mexican novelist, critic and diplomat, visits Cal State Fullerton Tuesday as part of a lecture tour of universities. He is the author of “The Death of Artemio Cruz” and the just-published “Christopher Unborn.” He served as Mexico’s ambassador to France from 1975 to 1977.
Fuentes will discuss his works in a free public lecture at Cal State Fullerton. He will return to Orange County on Oct. 10 for a lecture sponsored by UC Irvine at South Coast Community Church. A film version of one of Fuentes’ recent novels, “Old Gringo,” opens in the United States this week and stars Jane Fonda, Gregory Peck and Jimmy Smits.
