McKinsey May Buy High-Tech Firm: Management consulting firm McKinsey & Co. is attempting to buy Information Consulting Group, a consulting company specializing in information technology and systems, for an undisclosed price, the New York Times reported. Saatchi & Saatchi, the British advertising company that put up seed money for ICG when it was launched last year, also has an option to buy the firm, but earlier this year announced its intention to divest of its consulting operations to focus on advertising.
