NATION : Newman Donates to Quake Relief

NEW YORK — Paul Newman has donated $250,000 and 10,000 pounds of his spaghetti sauce to victims of the Bay Area earthquake, it was reported today.
Nell Newman, the actor’s daughter, presented the money to the American Red Cross quake relief fund in San Francisco, New York’s Daily News said.
Newman is president of Newman’s Own Inc., which makes spaghetti sauce, popcorn, salad dressing and lemonade. Nell Newman gave the sauce to Operation California, set up by the entertainment industry to help quake victims.
