ANAHEIM — Police have released an artist’s sketch of a suspect wanted in the killing of a market clerk.
Yeon Kon Chang, 49, was fatally injured in a confrontation with a man he chased from the J.R. Market, 2612 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim, on Oct. 22. Chang apparently caught the man trying to steal from the market, officers said.
Chang died at UCI Medical Center shortly after he was found about 8:20 p.m. in the market’s parking lot. He had been hit over the head.
The suspect was described as being a teen-ager with shoulder-length blond hair. He was between 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 5 feet, 9 inches tall and appeared to weigh about 140 pounds, according to Police Lt. Marc Hedgpeth.
