Western Union Corp.: The provider of electronic messaging and financial services reported a third-quarter net loss of $25.7 million, compared to a net loss of $222.4 million in the same period a year ago. Revenue totaled $157 million, down 29%. The Upper Saddle River, N.J., firm said the 1988 loss figures included $200 million in restructuring charges. The 1988 revenue numbers included income from operations since discontinued. Excluding those, the 1988 third-quarter revenue would have been $176 million.
