Countywide : Teachers Invited to Zoo for Reception

All Orange County teachers are invited to the Santa Ana Zoo Thursday for a special reception and introduction.
The event will be outdoors by the pond. Hors d’oeuvres, education displays, animal guests, staff and docents will greet visitors.
Teachers may wander through the zoo and its laboratory/education center. For reservations, call (714) 836-4000.
In addition, the zoo, at 1801 E. Chestnut Ave., will again offer natural science workshops for families and children. The workshops include “Mommy and Me” for preschoolers and mothers on weekdays; “Science at the Zoo” for children 8 to 12 on Saturdays; “Family Workshops” on Saturdays for children 4 to 12, and “Animal Training in Zoos and Aquariums from Dec. 18 to 21 for children 12 to 15.
