Patricia Lawford, sister of President John F. Kennedy, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired during an accident in which she crashed into a telephone pole at a shopping center in Southampton, N.Y. Mrs. Lawford, 65, was fined $250 for the May 27 accident, in which she was not injured. . . . Hank Aaron has returned to the city where he hit many of his record 755 home runs, to run a chain of fast-food restaurants. Aaron has opened three Arby’s roast beef restaurants over the last year and is contracted to open 12 more around Milwaukee by 1991. The Hall of Fame slugger said he chose to do business in Milwaukee because of low property costs and his attachment to the city where he played professional baseball for 12 years.

Musician Sylvester Stewart, former leader of Sly and the Family Stone, was ordered held on $500,000 bond in Bridgeport, Conn., to give California authorities time to extradite him on a drug-possession charge, police said. Stewart, better known as Sly Stone, was arrested by FBI agents Saturday on a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. The 45-year-old musician was arrested in Los Angeles in April, 1987, but fled to the East Coast.
