L.A. Talk: How do you get couch potatoes to venture from their home entertainment centers and partake in the fine arts? That is one of the questions that will be addressed today at Mount St. Mary’s College by three heavy-hitters of the L.A. arts world who will talk about what they expect from the city’s art scene in the ‘90s. Howard Fox, curator of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Steve Albert, director of the Mark Taper Forum, and Ernest Fleischmann, executive director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will review the past decade and focus on the future in a panel discussion beginning at 1:10 p.m. Information: (213) 476-2237.
