Bruins Beat Waves in NCAA Volleyball

Natalie Williams had 20 kill spikes and 10 blocks, and Daiva Tomkus had 14 kills and 11 blocks as the UCLA women’s volleyball team defeated Pepperdine, 9-15, 15-10, 15-6, 15-4, in the first round of the NCAA West Regional.
The Bruins (28-2) advance to the second round against the winner of today’s Oregon-Arizona match.
Jenny Evans added 10 kills for the Bruins. Debbie Merandi had 10 kills and four blocks for unranked Pepperdine (20-10).
