Mann Takes Over: Director-playwright Emily Mann will take over as artistic director for the McCarter Theatre Center for the Performing Arts in Princeton, N.J., effective July, 1990. Mann succeeds Nagle Jackson, leader of the theater for the last decade. Mann made her Broadway debut as a director and writer in 1986 with her play “Execution of Justice,” which dramatized the events surrounding the slayings of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk. Other directing credits include: the Brooklyn Academy of Music Theater Company, the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and the Mark Taper Forum.
