Atlanta Doors and Windows, a manufacturer and retailer of doors and windows based in San Juan Capistrano, Tuesday filed for protection of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Ira Katz, the firm’s attorney, said the company is seeking to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Act. The company shut the doors of its retail outlets in Orange and Laguna Hills within the last week, upsetting many customers who had made deposits on merchandise.
