A $10,000 warrant was issued for a former professional basketball player who failed to show up Friday to be sentenced for stealing adult videotapes.
Marvin (Bad News) Barnes, 37, a former San Diego Clipper who also played for other National Basketball Assn. teams, pleaded guilty Nov. 3 to stealing the videotapes July 29.
San Diego Superior Court Judge Jesus Rodriguez issued the warrant.
Barnes could be sentenced to two years in state prison because he has a felony conviction for burglary, for which his probation has been revoked.
Barnes failed to appear Sept. 26 for arraignment, and a bench warrant was issued then as well. Barnes was arrested but released on his own recognizance months later.
