Earth Day Special Set: April 22, 1990, marks the 20th anniversary of Earth Day, the birthday of the environmental movement. And ABC will celebrate with a two-hour “Earth Day Secial,” a “television entertainment event” featuring Kevin Costner, Ted Danson, Quincy Jones, Michael Keaton, Bette Midler, Meryl Streep, Barbra Streisand, Robin Williams, Bruce Willis and other stars. The special is produced by People of the Earth and Warner Bros. Inc, and will air from 9-11 p.m. Any profits from the program will be given to the People of the Earth Foundation.
