Alhambra : Sign Backers to Meet Today

Business owners, facing a Jan. 28 deadline to remove business signs from store rooftops, are trying to come up with a way to fight City Hall and keep their signs.
“Businesses are so close together that without roof signs they can’t be distinguished from one another,” said George Cabrera, a printer at Sunset Printers on West Valley Boulevard.
Cabrera and other members of the Alhambra Business and Residents Assn., newly formed to fight the roof sign requirement, were to meet at the Wishing Well Diner, 2990 Valley Blvd., at 4 p.m. today to map out a strategy.
