Aerial Medfly Spraying Rescheduled for Tonight
- Share via
Aerial pesticide spraying planned for the San Gabriel Valley Tuesday is now scheduled to take place tonight, county agriculture officials said. Rain forced the two-day delay in the spraying, planned as part of the continuing battle against the Medfly.
Weather permitting, helicopters will take to the skies over a 71-square-mile area including Azusa, Bradbury, Duarte, Monrovia, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino, Temple City and parts of Alhambra, Arcadia, El Monte, Irwindale, Monterey Park, Pasadena and South El Monte. Tuesday marked the second time that weather has caused spraying to be canceled in the San Gabriel Valley.
